Sodium Gluconate is a kind of multi-hydroxy sodium carboxylate with the chemical name of 5-hydroxy acetic sodium. Molecular Formular: C6H11O7Na, Molecular Weight: 218.14, Appearance: white or slight yellow crystal powder. It is easy to solve in water and slight soluble in alcohol but hardly soluble in aether.

Main usage of Sodium Gluconate:

Industrial grade: It is widely used as retarder of cement in construction industry. It can efficiently prevent commercial cement from concreting and agglomeration during transportation. Besides, it can also be used as surface cleaning agent of steel, professional cleaning agent of glass bottle, antiscale and corrosion inhibitor.

Food grade and pharmaceutical grade: It can adjust the acid and alkali level of human body and keep it balanceable. It will insure the nerves act normally and defend syndrome of lack of sodium. Meanwhile, it is used as food additive and pharmaceutical intermediate.
